Bluesign® releases new standard

Bluesign Technologies AG, headquartered in Switzerland, was launched in Hanover, Germany on October 17, 2000. This blue textile environmental certification mark is a standard jointly established by EU academic, industrial, environmental and consumer organizations. Products that have obtained this mark represent that they meet environmental, health and safety requirements.

Bluesign® recently released a new version of its standards, revising and supplementing existing ones. Addressing current needs, Bluesign has revised its existing standards, with the new standards covering the entire manufacturing process, from spinning to complete textile products, including accessories and leather manufacturing. Furthermore, chemical assessment now incorporates Bluesign's proprietary Input Stream Management methodology, providing a more in-depth evaluation method for chemical risk management.

The new Blue Label standard is the culmination of collaboration with chemical suppliers, manufacturers, brand owners, and other partners. It will further strengthen the Blue Label system and provide industrial solutions for responsible production.
