The ECHA Scientific Committee encourages all stakeholders to provide their comments by November 17, 2014, to assist with the initial discussion of this restriction proposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Decabromodiphenyl ether (DBD) is primarily used as a flame retardant in plastics and textiles. Due to its persistence, bioaccumulation, and toxicity (PBT), it has been identified as a Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC).
