SCHER concluded that \"overall, TPBPA is of good quality\" .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In principle, SCHER agrees with the conclusions reached in the Risk Assessment Report (RAR). For example, the reactive use of tetrabromobisphenol A (TBPA) in epoxy resins for printed circuit boards does not pose a significant environmental risk. However, certain plastics (ABS) using TBPA as an additive have been identified as posing risks to soil, sediment, and water during the production process. Therefore, the EU adopts a Risk Reduction Strategy (RRS) to mitigate this risk, without restricting the trade and use of TBPA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SCHER's recommendation concludes that (i) tetrabromobisphenol A may decompose into bisphenol A.
