It blocks part of Lake Argentino, is about 60 meters high, and will collapse spectacularly every one to several years, but it has always only happened in summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Glacier National Park stated, \"This is the first time a glacier has collapsed in winter, which may be related to the global greenhouse effect, as rising temperatures affect the friction of the ice.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Moreno Glacier is one of the world's largest glaciers, covering an area of \u200b\u200b275 square kilometers and with an outlet width of 5 kilometers.
